The Portland Metro Concert Band is tracking the emergence of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) via the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) news releases and encourages everyone to follow prudent good health practices. Our priority is the continued health of our members and audiences. We are considering all options available to inform our members and audiences in time to act and reduce confusion.

OHA continues to recommend all people in Oregon take everyday precautions to prevent the spread of many respiratory illnesses, including COVID-19 and influenza.

If any of our members choose to refrain from rehearsals or performances we will honor their decisions to do so. Your health comes first in our minds.

If the absence of band members results in an upcoming performance being canceled, we will do so.

If our venue providers close their facilities, for rehearsals or performances, we will honor those closures. We will notify everyone via our web, and media channels as soon as that decision is announced.

We are on the alert list from the Oregon Health Authority which monitors and issues alerts on a state-wide level. Any changes issue an alert and email so we are aware of aware of changes in our communities. We encourage you to stay informed and a good link for the OHA is https://www.oregon.gov/oha/pages/index.aspx.

Thank you for your understanding and support.
